Guerilla Advertising- Crisis

A response to an open brief set by Mother. The brief asked the participants to get noticed by media and encouraged them to do anything possible to accomplish this without breaking the law.
The campaign aimed to raise awareness about homelessness. To emphasise depressing facts about homeless people, chalk outlines of human figures, which remind those walking by of deaths or crime scenes, were drawn on the walls, and cardboard tombstones that contain tragic statistics and facts about homelessness were placed with the drawings. Moreover, in order to stay in the legal frame and to avoid issues about vandalism, easy-to-remove materials including chalk and masking tape were used for the executions.
During the installation process, a number of curious commuters approached and shared their ideas about the campaign and homelessness. A few ex-homeless people showed their interests and shared their unforgettable experiences as well. Feedbacks also included an interview request from The Big Issue, and coverage by an online media source, Trend Hunter Marketing.
